8 weeks already! and Happy Easter.

Hi all, I cant believe that Eli is already 8 weeks old. He is growing like a weed. Nick put him on the scale this morning and he weighed in at 10 lbs even. 10 POUNDS!! He is getting so big. I love my little man, he is so much fun. I tried to take some cute Easter pictures with him in his bunny hat, but he refused to open his eyes for the pictures. He is so stubborn sometimes. Here is his 8 week picture with Lightning McQueen.

Earlier this week, we went to see the Easter Bunny at the mall. I love that Eli decided to give me a smile for the picture. I know that this will probably be the last year that he will smile for the bunny and not be scared. He is so cute!!!

Eli is 7 weeks old

Here is Eli's 7 week picture. I cant believe how fast he is growing. He is officially out of newborn size clothes. I love how much he has started to react to things going on around him, and his smile makes me smile. I feel so lucky to be this little man's mom.

6 weeks of Eli

When Eli was born I made the goal to take a picture of him every day for a year. While I have missed a few days, I have been able to keep my second goal of taking a picture of him every Monday since he was born. Every picture will have his friend Lightning McQueen to have something to compare him to as he grows. It will be so fun to look back on these pictures and see how Eli changed every week. As the weeks go, I will try to post his weekly picture so you can see how is is growing.

Introducing Elijah Henry!

I am pleased to introduce Elijah Henry. We will be calling him Eli. He was born on February 13, 2012 at 3:23 am. He was 5 lbs 9oz and 18 3/4 in long. After a rough start, Eli is doing great. He is growing so fast. He is still small, but he seems so big to me now. Nick and I are loving being parents, it is better than either of us thought it would be. I cannot believe how fast time has gone, Eli is already 6 weeks old today! These pictures were taken when he was 8 days old.

Always and Forever!

For those of you that know me well,
I LOVE my sodas!

In our house we call it all "coke" but we all know that it means Diet Coke for Mom, Dad, and Erin and a Diet Dr Pepper for me.
We all love it!
It is not just for the caffeine, but really it is for the burn from the carbonation. That first burn in the morning, HEAVEN!

I have to have refill my 52oz mug every morning on my way to work or it totally throws off my groove for the rest of the day.

Am I addicted?

Okay, maybe I am, but I am really okay with it.

Well, while scanning the thousands of negatives my mom has taken over the years, I discovered proof that I have been in love with my soda for years.

There are many pictures of me at this age with a large soda in my hands.
My love of soda may be irrational, however, here is the proof that my addiction came early.

I'm Back!

So I know I resolved to blog more, but between computer crashes, serious nap issues (yes I said nap issues), and well a general disinterest in writing anything at all (you can ask Scott, I finally wrote to him), I admit... I have been a blog slacker. But...

I have found a renewed creative edge, and reading blogs like pinksuedeshoe and heidikins have made me feel like a slacker, I will attempt, but not resolve or promise, to update my blog on a more regular basis.

PS: did you like all of my run on sentences? hehe.

Happy Halloween!

This year Halloween came so fast. We have a big neighborhood party every year and my dad decorates the entire house (almost as much as he does for Christmas). Here are a few pictures from this year.

Erin and I getting my mom into her waist cincher.

Nick was Aladdin.

My dad was an 18th century vampire, complete with ponytail and tattoos. My mom was a wench, one that my dad had just changed over.

Here are the girls. Erin was a Troll doll, Sami was Minnie Mouse, and I was Hell on Wheels. I think we look pretty hot.

This is the newest addition to my dad's Witches of Willowcreek collection. Her name is Genevieve. He is such a talented guy and I am so lucky to have him as a dad.

Happy Halloween everyone!
